Most box companies price like you sell one thing. You don’t. You sell a lineup: the bestseller, the seasonal, the two sizes people keep asking for, the new thing you’re testing this fall. And every “low minimum” turns out to be a minimum per size and per design. Overseas is worse: ten thousand boxes, a three-month lead, weeks of waiting on a sample. So small businesses end up approving a screenshot and hoping.

How samples work here
Every box we make starts as a real one you can pick up. Samples, hand-glued in the shop. Real ink, real stock. You’re approving the box itself, not a screen mockup. A sample catches the small stuff while it’s still cheap to fix: a fit that’s snugger than you meant, a fold that lands crooked, a color that reads different in daylight. We’ve caught mistakes on a single sample that would have been a nightmare across ten thousand boxes.

02. Hold a real sample
We print, cut, and hand-glue your box, then overnight it to you, or drop it off if you’re local. We cover the sample cost where we can, and when we can’t, you’ll know the number first.
03. Run what you sell
A thousand boxes, or fifteen. Print by the product, reorder when something sells out.

Why small businesses pick a small shop
A first run here is often 250 boxes, split across a few products and sizes, and that’s right where a growing small business lives. We treat it like the real order it is. You won’t outgrow the shop either: runs here climb to 15,000 and past it, on the same machines that print your first few hundred.
A hand-labeled product can sell out a market table. Wholesale is a different game: buyers want a box they can stack, scan, and reorder. Get the box right, and reorders land while you’re busy making the next batch. The product hasn’t changed. The way people treat it has.

Colorado’s new packaging law
Colorado’s producer responsibility law is live, and it has small makers nervous. Here’s the short version: the obligations fall on producers, and small businesses under the thresholds are exempt. Most of the makers we talk to don’t have to do anything at all.
We’re a print shop, so this isn’t legal advice. It’s the same straight answer we’d give you on the phone: check the two lines in the card, and if you’re anywhere near one of them, look up Colorado’s producer responsibility program on the CDPHE site before you change a thing. If packaging rules ever do apply to you, we’ll tell you straight and point you at the program, not a sales pitch.
